What time does school begin and end each day?

  • Start time: 8:30 a.m.
  • End time: 2:50 p.m.

What grade levels are offered at Conley Elementary?

  • Pre-kindergarten through fifth grades are currently offered at Conley Elementary.
  • Pre-Kindergaren


VPK pays for one-half the day, can my children attend the second half of the school day? 

  • Yes, your child may attend the second half of the day through a “for fee” program in which the parents pay (as you would for a private provider child care program).


Is there an extended day for pre-kindergarten children?

What curriculum is used at Conley?

  • We follow the Leon County Curriculum – Savvas Language Arts, Go Math, and Science Fusion. We have an inquiry-based approach to instruction.


How much time do students receive physical education each week?

  • 150 minutes as required by the state of Florida.


How do students who are gifted receive services?

  • Students receive services for the gifted program at the school through a pull-out program.

How does Conley meet the needs of students who are struggling?

  • We individually assess all students. Students requiring additional assistance receive it and their progress is monitored often to ensure the student “catches up”.

What types of technology are utilized at Conley Elementary School?

  • We use mounted projectors, SMART interactive whiteboards, document cameras, one-to-one chromebooks, classroom amplification systems, and various software packages. Technology is incorporated in student learning thoughout the school day through our use of “intelligent classrooms". There is one technology lab in the media center, as well as laptop computers. Does Conley offer an afterschool/extended day program?

  • Yes. Please check the Extended Day page for details and fees for the kindergarten through fifth and Pre-K extended day programs.


In what activities will students participate during the extended day program?

  • We provide a study hall, technology opportunities, arts, crafts and sports activities. ContactJoanna Clark for more information.

How do I sign up to volunteer?

  • The best way to volunteer is to get involved with our PTO. 
  • If you want to help in your child’s classroom, consult your child’s teacher.
  • You must fill out the district online volunteer form before you can volunteer in any capacity.
